Background

Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment (C&E) is a Vietnamese not-for-profit and non-governmental organization established in 2008 that works to promote participation and improve capacity of local, grassroots-level community groups and organizations, for a more ecological and participatory lifestyle among young people, better solutions to environmental issues that are related to their life, and development of civil society and sustainable environment in Vietnam. C&E has rich experience in organizing capacity building for youth in Social Ecological transformation, building foundations and pathways to develop ecological lifestyle education in Vietnam as well as in the Indochina region. C&E has developed a national network of youth groups and grass-roots organizations that work in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection.

The project Integrating and advocating for Social-Ecological Transformation (SET) in Vietnam’s tertiary education – the year will be conducted by C&E from June to December 2022 with the sponsorship of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southeast Asia (RLS SEA) and aims to engage the Vietnamese youth in ecological and social issues by providing them with necessary tools to live an ecological life and do community services and motivate them to take youth actions through education.

As a component of the project, a Training of Trainers (TOT) course on integrating social-ecological transformation subjects into educational activities will be offered to university lecturers, and representatives from youth organizations, both of whom have the resources to disseminate the knowledge and skills to their students.

Activity description

As a component of the project, the project will launch a pilot teaching program at Thai Binh Duong University, with the Social-Ecological Transformation as the subject. The program will be scheduled as one of the main subjects, and students will get credited as other official subjects of the university.

The teaching program aims to provide Thai Binh Duong University students with academic knowledge of social and ecological, and inspire the students to integrate SET into their community work and services, as well as for SET to be the foundation for students’ future initiatives to make ecological and social change;

The teaching of the subject is expected to begin from May to July 2022 at Thai Binh Duong University.

 

SERVICE EXPECTATION

 

The outdoor training is expected to be conducted in August, 2022

–     Training course: 01 field trip class 2 days

–      Daily schedule time: morning 8:00 – 12:00am, afternoon 1:30 – 5:00pm

–      Host location: Moshav farm, Nha Trang

–      Quantity of participants: 31 participants

Based on above information about the training course, please provide the detailed service for the activities (Detailed quotation as in Annex 1)

Please ensure that an event manager deals with C&E before, during and after the event and gives C&E support in all matters concerning the management of this event. The name of the contact person must be stated in the response. The person must be available, if needed, during the event.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION

C&E will evaluate and assess the submissions of the offers upon a set of criteria. These include:

  • Service fee and payment method
  • Proven capacity to carry out the requested services
  • Evidence-based experiences in the provision of such services
  • Experience in cooperating with NGOs in providing similar services is an advantage

 

SUBMISSION

A competitive supplier will be offered to provide service based on their qualifications and experiences. C&E would like to invite interested suppliers to submit the following:

  • Company profile, a copy of business license (a scanned file and/ or a certified copy)
  • Detailed quotation as in Annex 1
  • Sample or references of past similar work (limited to two)
