COMPETITION: KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NATURAL FOREST USE AND MANAGEMENT

There were many forms to show and share their knowledge such as: performing drama productions, singing in Kotu language about forest protection, presentations, and multiple choice questions… Club members dressed in different costumes and played roles as different stakeholders in natural forest management in stage performances. It helps deliver the message to the audience very quick and effective.

During the quick questionnaire competition, teams from environmentally friendly forest use club responded very quickly to the information given. This competition helped remind participants about all the information they had been taught in the project: “Sustainable management of natural forest through raising awareness and building capacity to improve the rights and legal status of ethnic minority communities to natural forest in central Vietnam (2012-2014)”. This project is conducted by Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment and sponsored by Fund of Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Southeast Asia.

Despite the dark evening in Hue or the long rain in Quang Nam, the contestants remained high in spirit and enthusiasm. Both clubs created a very successful and meaningful competition.
