What solutions for integrating ecological lifestyle into Vietnamese students activities?
30 young teachers from Universities through Vietnam with passion of intergrating ecological lifestyle knowledge for students will meet and learn in the training course “ Supporting the intergration of ecological lifestyle education into student programs”. The program was oganized by Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment start from Oct 27th to Oct 28th 2017 at Bamboo Green Hotel – 177 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.
Between 2015 and 2016, C&E has completed research on student’s ecological lifestyle and used the result of this research as an basic input for other activities, like completing 2 guidance book on ecological lifestyle not only for trainer but also for community. C&E oganized pilot training course and advocacy event with the participant of Universities and Youth Oganization from many provinces in Vietnam.
Based on the success from two years ago, in 2017, C&E continues creating toolkits that integrate ecological lifestyle into education. These toolkits are focused on 3 topics which are Tourism, Food and Water. Beside that, C&E also oganizes teacher training courses to help them applying this method easily in real life at many levels and organizations into the curriculum and activities at their univesities.

- Time: 27/10 – 28/10/2017
- Place: The hall in 4th Floor – Danang Bamboo Green Hotel, 177 Tran Phu, Hai Chau District, Danang.
- Participant: 30 young teachers from Univesities representative for 3 domains in Vietnam: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Hue, Danang and Ho Chi Minh city.
In the training session, young teachers will be exploring, discussing with expert about methodologies and neccsessary skills to integrate ecological life style into their lectures. Moreover, they will develop specific plan to implement and oganize ecological lifestyle activities at their oganization and universities. The oganizer hopes after graduating the training, the young, talented and passionate teachers will be able to apply the knowledge in the training and spread to many young people. By doing so, the community will become more green and the students will live more friendly with nature.
Training the program “Supporting the intergration of ecological lifestyle education into student programs” is an important activity in the project “Partnership to support, promote eco-lifestyle, adapt and minimize climate change in Vietnamese Universities” from 2015 to 2017 which is organized by Center for Development of Community Initiative and Environment (C&E Center) with the support from Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Southeast Asia.
