[RECAP] TRIAL OF INTEGRATING NUTRITION EDUCATION INTO TEACHING AT YEN HOA SECONDARY SCHOOL
On Friday, May 17 and Monday, May 20, the Good Food At School Project successfully implemented the integration of nutrition education into teaching at Yen Hoa Secondary School with the enthusiastic participation and support of teachers and more than 100 students from 3 classes 6A3, 6A8 and 7A2.
In these lessons, students learned together about the content of Book 04 “Secrets Behind Food” and Book 5 “Becoming a Food Hero”, with stories such as Food Production, Food Transportation and Retail, Food Consumption and Disposal, and Ideas for School Food Projects.
After listening to the lecture and taking notes attentively, the students had the opportunity to discuss in groups and outline their interesting and unique ideas about the school garden in the future. Their subsequent presentations also showed us that the nutritional knowledge has been applied very smoothly in their daily activities. Certainly, through these extracurricular activities, the young students of Yen Hoa School had many fun and useful moments, and especially gained more useful knowledge to truly become Food Heroes during this summer vacation.
And now, let’s look back at the interesting moments of the recent teaching activities!
