This set includes ten contents which were developed based on the results of an assessment of training needs of local officials and people in Thua Thien – Hue and Quang Nam. After having used this set for training courses at eight communes in four districts in the two provinces, C&E along with the team of experts added, adjusted and revised the three guide books: (1) Methods of community-based forest management: the rights-based approach, (2) Planning, organizational and teamwork skills for community-based forest management groups, and (3) Technical instructions to growing and care for some timber trees and non-timber forest products and farming techniques for some forest animals.
The three books are expected to be useful for local communities and other stakeholders, promote awareness and build capacities for community-based forest management.
